Building Capacity for Human Systems Flourishing

Human systems grow in the direction of the questions we most frequently ask. At Sustainability Institute, we teach you to ask different questions—not “What’s broken?” but “What’s alive?” Not “How do we fix this?” but “What conditions allow flourishing?” Our programmes distill decades of Leadership and Organisation Development philosophies, principles and practices into accessible, engaging learning experiences designed for one purpose: to spread the seeds of continuous learning so that individuals, organisations, and communities can thrive in the long term.

Way-finding Series

A SELF series for finding your bearings in uncertain waters.

Long before instruments, wayfinders crossed the widest oceans by reading what the sea itself revealed — the swell beneath the hull, the flight of birds, the deep migratory knowing that moves whole pods across the world without a single map. They didn't fight the ocean. They listened to it, and moved with its currents.

Wayfinding is an invitation to navigate your own life the same way. In a world churning with disruption, the answer isn't a better map — it's the recovery of your instinct to read the waters and trust your bearing. Across a series of workshops, you'll sound your depths to identify what you're truly here for, then learn to read the currents ahead using tools such as futures, scenario-planning, art of writing to move with change rather than brace against it.

Creating a Life of Purpose

[1-day workshop, In-person workshop] You've built a career. Hit the milestones. And yet, somehow, you still feel unfulfilled. This one-day experience gives you uninterrupted time to think, tools to sense what's stirring in you, and honest reflection from others, so you can step back from the noise and get clear on what matters. Leave with clarity, fresh perspectives, and the courage to make concrete shifts towards a more purposeful life.

Leading the Human Side of Digital Transformation

[1-day, In-person workshop] Here’s what most technology transformations have in common when they struggle: the technology worked but the people’s side didn’t. This programme is for technology leaders who want to close that gap. New systems and new ways of working are fundamentally organisational challenges dressed up as technical ones. Learn to lead transformation in organisations where people are uncertain, resistant, or simply exhausted from too much change.

HR Practitioner’s Guide to Organisational Transformation

[2-day, In-person workshop] Organisations that are thriving are those where HR has stepped into a much more strategic role, building the conditions for real, lasting change. This programme is designed for HR professionals who want to make that shift with confidence. You’ll get a working understanding of Organisation Development as a discipline, practical tools you can use immediately, and a way of thinking about your organisation that goes well beyond the conventional HR toolkit.

Beyond Strategy: Leading Organisations That Actually Flourish

[3hr breakfast talk] Most leaders we speak to know something isn’t working. Engagement is low, change initiatives aren’t landing, and the usual levers aren’t producing the results they once did. This breakfast conversation is for CEOs, MDs, and senior executives who are ready to look at their organisations differently. We will collectively explore what it takes to build an organisation that people are truly committed to, not just employed by.
